How it works

01

Click a slot

Every open slot shows its price. The one you buy is the one you get, until somebody pays more. Click a slot somebody already holds for full size and what it costs to take.

02

Pay once, no account

A URL and an amount, and that is the form. We pull your name, logo and description off the site itself for use in your slot or you can upload an image.

03

Your slot is what you paid

A slot is the size its price bought. Paying above what a slot asks does not grow it; it makes it harder to take off you, since out-paying the holder is the only way in once a slot is full.

Questions

What am I actually buying?

A slot on the board for as long as nobody out-pays you for it. The band you paid for decides how big it is, and holding one is what puts your logo on the physical billboard. That is visibility. Not ownership, not equity, and not a share of anything we own.

Can I get a refund?

No, with one exception: if we turn a listing down in review, that payment is refunded in full. A listing removed after it has gone live for breaking the rules is not refunded. Every other payment is final.

What gets turned down?

We refuse adult content, gambling, weapons, hate or harassment, scams, phishing or deceptive offers, malware, speculative token and pump-and-dump promotion, anything a billboard operator would refuse to put on a roadside sign. If a roadside billboard operator would say no, so do we.

When does the physical billboard go live?

When backing reaches the goal, which is what a first board at Denver, CO · US-36 corridor costs to book. The web board is live now while I work on securing that board. I am not going to name a date I cannot keep, the meter on the front page is the honest version of the answer.

Do I get the exact slot I clicked?

Yes, as long as you pay that slot’s price and nobody who paid more asks for the same one. Slots inside a band are the same size for the same money, so which one you are in is yours to pick, and paying above the band’s price keeps you in it rather than moving you to a bigger one.

Can I add money to my listing later?

No. What you pay is what holds the slot, and it is set at the moment you buy, which is why the price on a slot is worth reading twice. If somebody out-pays you they take it, you keep your listing, and it drops to whatever your own payment still holds. Bidding above a band’s price at the start is how you make a slot expensive to take.

What happens to my backing in the meantime?

Nothing. It does not expire, reset or decay, and your rank and share stay exactly where they are. The web board runs regardless: it is live now and is not waiting on anything.

The board is full. How do I get on?

$25 always puts you on the web board, that never closes. The physical board has 32 slots in four priced bands, so getting one means either taking a slot nobody has bought yet or bidding past whoever holds the one you want. They drop to the web board; you take the slot.

Why does one slot cost more than another?

Because it is bigger. There are four bands (Anchor, Feature, Standard, Listing), and the price buys the size. Paying above a band’s price does not grow your slot; it makes it dearer to take, because the only way to take an occupied slot is to out-pay whoever is in it.

Do you put money on sites yourselves?

Yes, on a couple of listings, to keep the board from looking empty at the start. It counts for placement like anyone else’s.

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for. We keep the email address from checkout on the payment so we can send a receipt, and nothing else. Minimum payment is $25.
